Meet Dr. James Shaw
Dr. Shaw was formerly an Assistant Professor in clinicial psychology at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. He was also the clinical supervisor for PhD students from Ohio State and is the Behavior Health Director in the family medicine residency program.
He has a doctorate degree in clinical psychology as well as an MBA. He has advanced certifications from the Gottman Instituate for couples therapy and the Albert Ellis Institute working with anger and anxiety. He was formerly in private practice in Columbus, Ohio before joining Ohio State.
Dr. Shaw has also worked as an adjunct instructor of psychology previously at five other universities and is current an adjunct professor at Concordia University Texas.
Dr. Shaw has experience working in private practice, community agencies, and hospitals and has worked with most mental illness diagnoses and many neurological medical diagnoses.
Dr. Shaw has three adult children and seven grandchildren who all live in Texas. He enjoys coffee, reading, exercising, boating, being at the lake, traveling and all sports.
